AF1 Bespoke Year of the Snake by Zhijun Wang
This custom and the last really make the title of our site almost irrelevant, showing customization really has an extensive way of being accomplished. Technically these were made and released the last few days of 2012 but their theme was mostly to do with 2013 so why not include them? Chinese artist Zhijun Wang took to this all white premium Air Force one with nothing but a couple engraving techniques and a bit of paint to really have the best a Year of the Snake theme in customs or even official releases.
A combination of modern laser engraving was coupled with old school pyrography to etch into the premium leather. Graphics start with the Chinese characters “Gui Si” on the medial sides while the lateral show “Snake” accented by waves and snakeskin. Lastly a white wave pattern was added to around the midsoles blending into the leather’s waves.
