The Most Memorable Custom Sneakers of 2013 Part 2

Fila Mashburn “Jack’s Lament” by Revive Customs

This pair isn’t the definition of a customization for 2013. 2015 or 2016 is more like it. Ahead of its time this pair is in many ways. A look over and you cannot really tell the brand. The sole is that from a Fila Mashburn, the everything else? Well the concept of Revive Customs inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. The pair is titled after a song of the same name sung by Jack Skellington in the stop-motion musical. You have to watch the video below to realize how amazing the use of the base sole really is.

The everything else, namely the upper of the shoe, is completely made from scratch. The fully fabricated upper of bison leather, yellow ostrich, checkered mesh, woven eyelets and red stitching are all finished off inside with neoprene sockliners. The fully functioning design is a look that could have been easily released the same time as the movie or the original base shoe.
