The art contest that has taken high school art classes by storm in the United States is just wrapping up a run in Brasil. The Vans Custom Culture Contest has given way for high school students with an outstanding opportunity to win a trip and prize money for their school. The success has allowed the contest to be extended internationally for the first time this year to students in Brazil. As one of the epicenters of art in the world, running this contest in Brazil was probably a given.
Custom Culture Brasil is ran the same way as the original contest version with the public voting and then celebrity judges to determine the winners. The 1st place winning schools will receive $10,000 for their high school art classes and $2,000 in Vans merchandise, with 2nd and 3rd place prizes also awarded. All three will visit with Vans for a final event in San Paulo.
