After releasing a custom molded keychain inspired by the Nike Air Mag El Cappy has created a custom Lebron to go with. In 2011 the Nike Air Mag created a wave outside of sneaker culture into mainstream for their significance in the Back to the Future movie series and release to raise money for Parkinson’s disease research. Just over a year later El Cappy has mirrored the 2015 colorway onto the Lebron 9.
El Cappy likely used a Lebron 9 from NikeID considering the clear soles. The gray upper with white accents reflects the original Air Mags gray upper with white Swooshes, laces, and liner. The attractive look of the Mag’s light up soles were recreated in the Air Max heel cushions. To complete the project an entire yellow box with “Anti Gravity” decals were custom made to match that of the release as well.
