The outlandish sneaker that is the Yeezy I was only released in colorways that compared to what they could have been are rather tame. But this reconstruction custom by JBF is in a way tame and outlandish. The color combination isn’t going to break unsuspecting non-sneakerheads necks but the material choice is nothing typical. The entire upper was rebuilt in a Japanese selvedge denim with the majority the reverse side and the tongues, eyestays, and toe caps, and Swoosh inlays the usual outer dark navy. Next gold eyelets match the liner, laces, and soles. The real eye-catcher though is the use of authentic ostrich skin on the Velcro straps and back heel tabs. Lastly the signature laser engraved tags grace the tongues in white leather.
