The custom Nike Air Max Lebron VII models just don’t stop. Here is another from Chinese artist: Sic via Freshnessmag.com
While we have unveiled the Shanghai colorway of the Nike Air Max LeBron VII (7) City Pack, here we have the unique, one-off version from the Shanghai leg of the tour as well. The pair gifted to LeBron in Shanghai is created by local graffiti artist, Sic. Sic started out working on buses and police cars before moving on to more commercial ventures and had several projects with Nike before.
The design direction of Sic’s creation keeps in line with the theme for Shanghai stop– Family. Some motifs featured on the kicks include landmarks such as the “Shi Ku Gate”, The Bund and China Exhibition Hall, Nanjing Road and other iconic spaces. All are carefully selected to represent the past, present and future of the city; the collision and fusion of the modern and traditional.
Other than taking the local city into consideration, LeBron’s hometown also makes an appearance on the shoe. On the shoe collar, the words “Akron” and “SVSM” are featured to bring LeBron’s personal touches into the kicks. Just like all the other artist series, the only pair will be residing in LeBron’s closet until further notice. So, take a look and live vicariously through the 2D reality.
