Adidas basketball brought out the Portland TrailBlazer’s Damian Lillard and John Wall of the Washington Wizards to the Compound Gallery in downtown Portland on Wednesday to celebrate their co-release for the Florist City Collection. Each players shoe was the Adidas Crazy 1 with a colorway inspired by their cities floral connection, being roses for Lillard and cherry blossoms for Wall.
To liven up the event 5 sneaker customizers were invited to customize the Crazy 1 with a theme related to Portland and or Damian Lillard. That starting 5 of who’s who customizers was Mache, JBF, Red Ribbon Recon, emmanueLabor and C2. With three recon customizers and two that focus on painting the result was a wide range of work from exotic skins to a #4BarFriday theme. Fans lined up around the block for a chance to purchase one of the special releases, apparel or an opportunity to meet Wall or Lillard. Overall the result was a packed house that brought together multiple aspects of basketball and sneaker culture.
