C2 Customs: CounterKicks.com Custom Nike Air Force 1 High

Milwaukee, Wisconsin based shoe customizer Chris Hui better known as C2 Customs completed his first ever custom Nike Air Force 1 high for CounterKicks.com. The result is what happens when two entities near the top of their respective fields come together: C2 being custom sneakers and CounterKicks being sneaker information blog. PaintOrThread has been following the relatively young CounterKicks.com since they started last fall and we’ve be nothing but impressed by some of the interviews and detailed articles they have about all the different materials shoes are made of. They’ve even started a partnership with SLAM Magazine.

C2 decided to take a “stealth” like approach to play on the “counter-intelligence” theme of CounterKicks.com. The end result is a high contrast half white half black shoe with great attention to detail. Black carbon fiber was used to create new Swooshes and compliment C2’s use of woodland camoflague in a dark, stealth black and gray sequence. To stay true to classic C2 designs he added a super bright yellow around the tongue, Nike Air heel tab, and the CounterKicks text and signature “Suitman” logo on the tongues. Loving the black and yellow, toss in some royal blue and these are golden.

Chrisco-CC: Mavel Mashup The Incredible Hulk Nike Dunk Custom

Iowa based shoe customizer Chrisco-CC recently finished Volume 2 of his Marvel Mashup custom shoe series: The Incredible Hulk Nike Dunk low. Chrisco-CC used the “decon-recon” process to take an all white Nike Dunk upper and replace the all white sole a grey earthquake crackle midsole from another pair of Nike Dunks. The Incredible Hulks signature ripped pants, skin and hair are represented by the purple denim panels, bright green midpanels, and the dark green Swooshes. Topped off with an embroidered Marvel Comics tongue tag and HULK on the back heels. These are what the original denim Nike Dunks nicknamed the “Hulk” should have looked like.

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Custom Slip On Shoes

These crazy detailed custom slip on shoes with Disney’s Beauty and the Beast theme were made by wenuwishuponastar on DeviantArt.com. The images she used are the stained glass designs from opening and closing sequences from the classic Disney fairytale animation.  Using nothing more than some acrylic paint and a black Sharpie she was worried about messing up so she used a $10 pair of canvas slip ons from Wal-Mart instead of a more expensive pair of Vans. I’d say she is just fine using a pair of Vans next time, as these $10 canvas slip ons are now worth at least $200.

Custom Converse All Star Sneaker Trousers by Sebastian Errazuriz

Somedays I just wish I could get dressed faster and just have my shoes and jeans be one piece, I honestly think I’d be on time more. Seabastian Errazuriz an artist, creative designer, or whatever you call people that make things these days may have solved that problem. Errazuriz made these “Sneaker Trousers” taking a pair of Coverse Chuck Taylor All Stars and combining them with fresh pair of denim blue jeans. Gimme these in overall form, white t shirt, and pair of Fruit of the Looms and I’m good.
