Dominic Chambrone, aka The Shoe Surgeon, might be the busiest guy in custom sneakers. While his feed this year shows lots of travel, he still made time to show up for the custom sneaker sub-culture at the first ComplexCon. Taking place close to his space in Los Angeles at the Long Beach Convention center the event was the first of it’s kind to bring together pop culture, art, food, style, music, sports and more from the online world to in real life. While many came to see the big showcase names and brands like Nike, adidas, or Puma a fair amount of the thousands in attendance were probably made aware of how great custom sneakers are. Visitors got to see a look at his reconstructed customs like the white python and gold leather pair designed for DJ Khaled after his Belaire Luxe Champagne bottle, or some of his original cut footwear designs. Below are some photos from the event if you were one of the many suffering a real case of fomo that weekend.
