Even though the Olympics are over the place in history for Team USA’s 2012 Gold Medal finish will be remembered. Specifically for Lebron whose Nike career is seemingly only getting started the past two years with the explosion of the Lebron 8 and 9’s models and signature colorways. Just this past year sneaker customizers made the Lebron 9 likely the most customized shoe of 2012. The latest is the Lebron 9 low by AMAC Customs titled Gold Medal.
Using the team red model as his base Austin of AMAC customs kept the Olympic theme obvious with the addition of an entirely metallic gold painted upper. The gray lateral Swooshes were painted bright red with their opposites navy blue. The LBJ facsimile signature on the tongue was painted a split between red and navy. Equally navy midsoles match with a touch of gold splatter. Simple color change for ‘Merica!
