Singapore based shoe customizer Lazy is starting to really branch out and conquer other base shoes with his recognizable denim customizations where he glues the fabric over original panels of the shoe with contrasting stitching. The latest is a pair of Nike Air Jordan IV’s titled “Black Mamba”. The nickname of the Los Angeles Lakers great Kobe Bryant, the Black Mamba theme is represented well in black faux snakeskin on the reconstructed wings and back heel tabs with contrasting purple stitching and gold Jumpman. Extra embroidered detailing sets these off: tongue tags with Kobe Bryant’s silhouette and Kobe’s Nike symbol on the back heel area. If the worn denim wasn’t enough the plastic netting was replaced with jersey mesh in the Lakers’ signature purple and a bit of black speckling was sprayed on the midsoles.
