The purple and turquoise colorway was first seen on the original Air Jordan V in 1990 and again on the original Air Jordan VIII in 1993. Except Nike used fancy color names such as: Grape/New-Emerald for the V and Concord/Aqua for the VIII. In what appears to be a way to give a used pair of Jordans new life, Paris, France shoe customizer Rudnes Custom Kicks gave this pair of “Grape” V retros from 2006 an all black out treatment. The upper of these were entirely white with the only addition besides black being the purple and turquoise painted on the plastic eyelets. So they started as the V “Grape” retro and moved on to looking closer to the mostly black “Aqua” VIIIs. Do you think people would line up if this was an actual Air Jordan release?
