Wings Air Jordan V by Astrotorf Customs

When any colorway a sneaker brand releases gains some decent popularity you can almost guarantee the colorway will make its way onto another sneaker courtesy of a sneaker customizer. While this swapping of colorways or themes doesn’t lend itself to the most creative results, it is pretty cool to see something that is likely never going to be an official release. That is the case here as this Wings Air Jordan V is inspired by a 2016 release on a younger Air Jordan XII.

Astrotorf Customs took advantage of the “Olympic” AJ V retro from this summer with its black midsole and gold tongues. The colors lended themselves as a great base for a “Wings” XII inspired swap. The all white uppers were blacked out and covered in gold on the toes and back third with the busy print. As you can see in the #CKIP photo below it was a tedious effort.
