A few days ago PaintOrThread shared how you could get back to the Swoosh nostalgia on your Air Jordan III retros and now JBF Customs is making a statement doing the opposite on a pair of Air Jordan Tribute Nike Dunk lows. This complete decon-recon pair is started with a gum sole and gray on white speckled midsole(made classic by shoes like the Air Jordan IV), Chicago Bulls deep red suede on the toe and lace panels, white leather on the toe box and black leather back panels. JBF choose to go Swooshless on these since Jordan Brand has pretty much removed the Swoosh from all Air Jordan retros and to showcase the focal point of the shoes: the “AJ Retro Cards”.
Without being an overly done tribute with MJ related graphics on all panels JBF designed and printed a custom fabric featuring the line of Air Jordan Retro Cards I-XIV. Those cards would come with re-released Air Jordans based off some sort of advertising image originally used when that model came out. As you can see the side and ankle panels have the images of MJ with Bugs Bunny, numerous dunks, the iconic Wings poster and more. For a last touch to being Jordan tributes a final touch of a serif script embroidered 23 graces the back heels instead of NIKE and the original Jordan dunking image from the release of the AJ I is stitched on the black leather tongues.
JBF Customs will only be making 3 pairs of these you can buy from his site here: JBFCustoms.com
