Two icon’s of their field come together in this pair of Spider-Man painted Air Jordan shoes. Spider-Man first made his comic book appearance in 1962, a mere six months before Michael Jordan was born. But it wasn’t for another 22 years the sneaker world would be changed by this Air Jordan 1 model. Nearly 55 years in the making this pair of kicks by BStreet Shoes shows what could have been had the two heroes come together for a collaborative project.
What started out with a mostly black upper on this Air Jordan 1 was painted red, but not in their typical Chicago Bulls red. Extra blue smokey details are seen underneath a stenciled spiderweb print in black that uniquely wraps around the entire shoe. Next, the Air Jordan Wings logos were forgone for the classic spider silhouette and the spidey suit eyes behind the black Nike Swooshes. This imaginary collaboration is will likely only live on as this custom sneaker.
