South Beach Nike Customs: Lebron 8 V.2 versus Kobe VI

Are you upset you never got your Nike Lebron 8 “South Beach” before the sneaker resellers start selling them for ridiculous prices? Don’t complain about the listings on eBay start working harder to make some more money. Or just commission a great customizer to go “South Beach” some other Nikes of your choice. Still work harder though because you’ll still be paying a fair price of at least $35o to $500. That commissioning is exactly what some guys did as they requested these two mirrored colorway customs by Emilio Zuniga and Mizzee Customs. Emilio hand painted this pair of Kobe VI’s that he ordered from Nike ID. The previously white scales and mesh were changed to “Filimint Green” with a simple addition of the “Pink Flash” on the tongues Kobe logo, toes “Venomenon” and a lace swap.

It seems Mizzee may have put in a bit more work just considering his base shoe used was the Cool Gray Lebron 8 V.2. For starters with the tongues were redesigned with a tag that plays off a Nike t-shirt and Lebron’s nickname “King James.” Mizzee essentially changed the entire shoes likeness from the the air bubble up, which was dyed with a pink tint. Next up the midsole and lace panel were painted black to match the original Lebron 8 South Beach as was majority of the upper with a slightly iridescent filimint green.  In the end both pairs stuck to their fly wire and mesh uppers with the painted on black Swooshes.Oh and just because he can…Mizzee gave the insoles a little Gucci print fabric for extra surprise.

Are these up to par with the originator of the “South Beach” colorway?
