We might be a bit biased here at PaintOrThread but a pair of custom sneakers is probably the best way to celebrate any accomplishment. Seriously name something better? Someone down under feels the same way as this pair of kicks was presented to the newly crowned NBA Champions San Antonio Spurs point guard Patty Mills. FootLocker Australia teamed up with the lands famed sneaker customizer Sekure D to offer this unique gift to Mills.
The classic Nike Air Force 1 low features a completely hand painted upper from toe to heel. The panels showcase a few of Sekure D’s often used patterns with a bit of FootLocker striped flavor on the heel tabs. The black and gray colorway has hints of gold upon the Swooshes and in the Larry O’Brien Championship trophies painted near the toes. Last details of a bold 8 and MILLS grace the lateral back heels while a simple 6/15/2014 marks the date he helped San Antonio clinch the 2014 NBA Championship.
Obviously you’ll never get to own these but if your sports game championship needs to be celebrated in similar fashion you can contact Sekure D at SekureD.com and follow him on Instagram: @SekureD
