Over this past weekend Winston-Salem State University beat Morehouse College 55 to 21 in the second annual Cleveland Classic HBCU football game at Cleveland Browns Stadium. The event was not just a football game but an entire weekend of activities for all ages. The host for the weekend was Eighty81’s celebrity DJ Steph Floss who just happened to be sporting a very festive a pair of bespoke style Nike Air Force 1’s customized by PMKcustoms (formerly Pimp My Kicks).
This “decon-recon” custom Air Force 1 was given a whole new look and feel a la the classic American letterman jacket. The upper consists mostly of a gray wool with premium brown leather on the laces panels, swooshes, and back heel tab with contrasting golden brown stitching to match the gum soles. The letterman concept was reached fully with the addition of a Eighty81 logo patchwork on the back heels and wooden pins of the events sponsors, McDonald’s and hip hop radio station Z107.9 on the tongues. These are a sure sign of the fall football season of 2012 is in full swing.
