Customizer Andr3wTL gives us look at what a Nike Kyrie 3 Uncle Drew edition may have looked like. Back in 2012 Kyrie Irving disguised as an elderly gentleman named Uncle Drew broke ankles and crushed dreams on the bball court in a Pepsi commercial. Years later Nike released a promotional pair of Irving’s first signature kicks in collaboration with Pepsi as Uncle Drew player exclusives pictured below. Skipping to the Kyrie 3 this year as the NBA Playoffs kicked off a Mountain Dew rendition surfaced in a similar fashion. Taking the two ideas together Andr3wTL customized the Nike Kyrie 3.
A concept that would pair in a hypothetical pack with the Mountain Dew Kyrie, this pair is all Uncle Drew. The blue and white base was given a further addition of blue with a spot on fade across the white midsoles and upper. Next the trash-talking catch phrases of Uncle Drew were patterned on the toes and Swooshes. Though the Swoosh lettering is hidden with a 3M Scotchlite reflective effect perfect for the late night lights of the streetball courts that Drew frequents. Details of an old school glass Pepsi bottle graphic on the insoles complete the concept.
