A full size run of custom sneakers played a large part in the scene from about 2003 to 2010 for some of the biggest sneaker customizing names. 2013 saw the concept brought back by two customizers by the name of Dank and Kickasso. Will more customizers throw their hat into the fold with this concept in the new year?
The first to do so in 2014 is Kickasso Kustom Sneakers with this Nike KD V titled Heat Advisory. That isn’t a reference to that team in Miami, althought it could be considering the OKC Thunder have been one of their formidable Western Conference. But this Kevin Durant kick’s design is more so for the Texas heat since they are being released at the Sneaker Con: Houston, TX this weekend. What started as the KD V N7 has an entirely new look upon the upper that becomes one with the midsoles of an airbrushed orange and yellow speckled molten pattern against black.
24 pairs of this design will be available for purchase Saturday January 4th at the Sneaker Con H-Town event which you can find more details about here: SneakerCon.com and you can find more work from Kickasso on Instagram: @KickassoKustomSneakers
