The resell price of an deadstock base shoe is no burden for Mache Customs, that was evident from his Delorean Nike Air Mag Customs. The latest pair to ruffle a few “purist sneakerheads” is his change-up of the Nike Air Yeezy II. Earlier this year a sample purple colorway supposedly for Kobe Bryant hit the interwebs, yet no official word is if it will ever release. Highly doubt it. Because of confidence Mache flipped the platinum Yeezy II to this purple gem.
The previously all light colored upper starting with the faux snakeskin and back panles were painted purple. Next the mesh and suede mudguard were dyed along with the tongue. The straps were given a flawless purple finish as well. Mache chose to keep the liner red even though the Kobe sample was pastel purple, which was probably a good choice. A final touch of the tongue “horus” logo was with gold paint to complete the transition. Hype city.
