A certain Nike Dunk SB probably comes to mind when you hear “money inspired release from Nike” but in custom sneakers that is surely a theme that is still slightly untapped by customizers. The trio of Filipino customizers Meni C, Alberto L. and Renan L. that go by KicksFlipped are staking their claim for money inspired customs using their nations Peso bill as the inspiration behind this custom Nike Air Max I. Titled Show Me the Money the all white Nike ID base is a design that likely conjures up thoughts of What The ? customizations. At home that title works but in a worldly view we’ll call them Show Me the Filipino Money.

Each panel of this pair takes the unique color and pattern from one of the Philippine Peso bills in the 200, 500, and 1000 denominations. You can tell the attention to detail in their process as both shoes follow the same color layout. Both tongues are given custom tags with the Philippines flag on the right and Peso symbol on the left. Lastly an awesome detail is the painting on the midsoles created to resemble the small specks of fiber that are one of the anti-counterfeit features of all the bills.

This one of one custom is surely one that would be a pain to counterfeit by another customizer. You can check more work from KicksFlipped on Instagram: @kixflipd_manila and on Facebook: KicksFlipped Customs
