Footlocker Art Prize Winner Kalin Thompson Custom Nike by Sekure D

“Forbidden Fruit” won $50,000. Yes, that was the prize for Foot Locker Australia’s first ever Art Prize contest tabbed “World’s Richest Colouring Competition.” The winner was Kalin Thompson with his painting titled “Forbidden Fruit” showcasing a Nike Air Force 1 mid, numerous Nikes and Japanese imagery. Kalin was also the overall People’s Choice winner netting him another $1,500. In addition to the cash the winner was to be given a pair of custom sneakers based on their design. Foot Locker looked to Australian customizer Sekure D to complete the customizing job which ended up being a spot on match to Kalin’s painting of a Nike AF1 mid with blue upper and a brown and black hexagon print that was likely to accent the Japanese dragon motif seen Kalin’s design.
