Occasionally, customizers have to step up and meet near impossible deadlines. As was the case for District Customs when one of his favorite musicians contacted him to create this pair. Los Angeles DJ/Producer Flying Lotus was scheduled to perform in Washington, D.C in late April 2013. Trevor of District Customs got the pair of white Supra Skytops the day before and immediately got to work. Armed with a paintbrush and directions to “do his thing,” District Customs spent the next 25 hours crafting this 1-of-1 pair for Fly Lo so that he could hand deliver them to him before the performance.
The DJ Flying Lotus Custom Supra Skytops feature 15 colors and various designs all over, yet they all flow together and work well on the model, including the Nike-Air-Tech-Challenge-esque fades on the heels. The pair is accented with custom laser engraved birch lace-locks and hang tags with the “Flying Lotus” logo. Fly Lo loved the kicks so much that he wore them on stage that night.
