In the past an all white shoe was nearly the number one base shoe of choice for shoe customizers. But as the hobby has grown one big step for progress was using a shoe that already had a given color scheme. Today it is a rare occasion for a veteran or skilled customizer to use an all white shoe…that is unless they have an box of ideas like Diversitile does. Diversitile took the request from a customer and transformed the request to shoe form with great results on a pair of all white Nike Dunks.
These custom Nike Dunks were inspired by a friends desire to portray his faith on his shoes. He came to us with the idea to depict one of the greatest acts of faith on his feet, which is Peter walking on water in the Bible. We loved the concept and thought to ourselves, “Why not make our friend, walk on water himself?” So that is exactly what we did. By putting water on the bottom of his shoes we made sure that wherever he goes he is walking on water.
But wait? All white? Yes they were all white until Diversitile painted the midsole. But isn’t that a no-no? Well supposedly Diversitile took to these with a new technique and formula for painting the rubber that is durable enough to wear unlike techniques that have been floating around the hobby in the past. We may have to wait and see after a worn photo is given. But painting rubber is one of the hobby of shoe customizings “holy grails”
