The last battle of the quarterfinals could have been anyone’s win. Unfortunately, Sharp020 was somewhat conservative in his design while jayhawk17 put forth what looks as very little effort. A “decon-recon” custom Nike Dunk with 3m reflective Scotchlite, textured vinyl, and some detail stitching vs. a ink splattered Nike Air Force 1…..mess? Well, it could have been worse…there seems to be some direction of a design. In the end Sharp020 took the easy win and further cementing “decon-recon” as “the” custom of 2009…that is unless a Michael Jackson themed custom shows up once again someplace…it better be good this time. Nearly all pairs after his death, AS TRIBUTES, aren’t much better than the shitty t-shirts on Time Square or Hollywood Blvd. Back to the real task at hand. I’d be surprised if a “decon-recon” does NOT win the finals.
