Sometimes just a bit more can liven up a sneaker. With Jordan Brand’s efforts to release colorways inspired by MJ’s opponents or places played the results have been some colorways far from your typical Chicago Bulls look. But of course they have been doing that since the Air Jordan 1.

One of the latest releases has been the “Barcelona Days” AJ VII featuring a colorway inspired by MJ’s time with the 1992 Dream Team in Barcelona, Spain. The vibrant colors are representative of the colorful landscape and skies of the area. Regardless the mostly gray upper takes a back seat to the tongues and soles. But Future Kicks brought the pattern of the classic VII tongue to the outside on this “Barcelona Madness” custom.

Most of the darker gray leather panels have been painted with a smaller version of the tongues jagged pattern of blue, turquoise, orange and black while the back heel panel was painted a lighter gray to match the inner panels. Extra details in an orange Jumpman logo and heel pull tab along with black and orange added to the midsole triangles add to the madness.
