Imagine if Michael Jordan never got sick or maybe did not even play because of being sick in game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals. The Bulls may not have won that series! The black/red colorway of the Air Jordan XII surely wouldn’t be considered Michael Jordan’s “The Flu Game” pair, cancelling out the retro of that shoe with the sick face imagery seen here on this painting. No doubt one of MJ’s most legendary games this painting by Kevin Bui lets them live on outside of pure sneaker form into sneaker art.
