It kinda seems like the bar is raised with every Jack The Ripper sneaker customization we see. Taking on the theme of a Japanese samurai, this Air Jordan 1 features extreme details. Titled “Bushido” as that is the code of honor and morals of the samurai. The focal point of the recon is the metallic gold leather lasered with the traditional Japanese calligraphy and depictions of a famous samurai. Next on the mid panels and tongue a dragon silk was used with gold detail to complement. To finish them off the popular python skin makes up the toes and lace panels complete with contrasting red stitching with a red deerskin to keep the foot comfy. As well Jack made a note about the tongue tags used:
“I also need to address the rising sun emblem on the tongue. I understand that it can/will be offensive to some as it is related to war crimes committed by Japan during WW2. I don’t condone such heinous acts and it isn’t my intention to offend anyone. The samurai flew by this banner long before its use during said time so I could not think of a more authentic symbol to use.” – Jack The Ripper
