There is a first time for everything. This time it is the first pair of Air Jordans that JGoods has customized after 9+ years of hand painting shoes. Using the AJ XII, whose original lines were inspired by the rays of sun of the flag of Japan JGoods gave the “Rising Sun” retro colorway a subtle paint job based on Michael Jordan’s most classic move, the fadeaway jumper. A grayscale spectrum fading from black to white made up of 15 different shades cover the paneled “rays” of the shoes upper. Air Jordans historically have usually been a tough sell in the custom sneaker design world and are usually assumed to be fake bootlegs. Yet a simple color addition like the one seen on these “Fadeaway” XIIs break that assumption of being fake any day.
