Sneaker customizer JGoods recently had the chance to sit down with Torii Hunter to create a pair of custom Nike Air Force 1s for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim center fielder. In their conversations Hunter shared his passion for his family, of course baseball, and his Bentley. Hunter showed passion for how the luxury automobile was a symbol for pursuing his dreams and doing what he loves to do. Of course JGoods thought the Bentley was the perfect theme to bring a simple pair of Nike Air Force Ones to the high class bracket the Bentley usually represents. They were painted with a muted black, white, silver, and gray to mimic the cars colors. The back heel took inspiration from the Bentley’s iconic front grill with a rendition of JGoods’ crossed line design and 48 in the same typographic shape as Hunter’s Angels jersey. The front was kept simple with a dull charcoal gray and JGOODS in the classic Bentley font. Lastly the inside footbeds made of fine Italian leather are printed with Torii’s sons names. Without ignoring the presentation the shoes were packaged in a cotton shoe bag complete with Bentley leather detailing, Torii’s number and a bag for extra shoe laces. All housed within a leather shoe box featuring a slightly modified version of the Bentley logo.
