When it comes to the masses in sneaker customization the themes and techniques tend to repeat themselves over and over. What isn’t seen often is the use of old techniques and art forms ages old that bring a unique look when translated onto a sneaker. One form we have been wanting to see more attempts at for years now is that of marbling. This centuries old technique takes different forms of adding a color substance to the surface of water with other additives then dipping the subject to take on the patterns formed in the water. Here customizer OctavianGraure used a Turkish form of the technique that goes by the term ebru.
Four pairs of the white on white Nike Air Force 1 Mid were covered in their leather uppers with different combinations of gold, black, red and blue. This design alone is really incredible to look at but add in other techniques in the world of sneaker customization and some really intriguing designs could be had.
