With Air Jordan’s being more popular than ever it’s no surprise to have seen their upswing in the custom sneaker scene as well. Unfortunately A LOT of the Air Jordan customs are a rip of another shoes colorway or something a bit childish that you couldn’t see yourself wearing everyday. As was with his pair of wing tips last week this Air Jordan 1 by Ben of Brush Footwear lets the wearer keep the Air Jordan vibe while still rocking something unique.
The simple black/gray shadow AJ1 is relatively the same execpt for the abstract design hand painted upon the mid sections that wraps around the back heels. A quick glance and it may look like an old black and white photograph. This type of pattern work is reminiscent of the original Air Jordan VIII’s and each colorway from that shoe in 1993 that had a bit of abstract graphic work on its plastic panels.
