A few months ago we got to see the first step into a customizer’s attempt at reconstruction through the Nike Dunk Unt1tled by Demetrius of GroundBreaker Customs. Fast forward to now and his foray into recon is full swing with this pair of Nike AF1 hi USMC.0. The theme is one that requires no questioning of it’s inspiration, the United States Marine Corp. He chose the theme to test his recon skills due to the US Marines being an important part of his life and family. The end result is a pair that could easily be mistaken as an actual release from Nike at retail.
Starting with a black midsole with a bright green outsole the back half of the shoe was redone stitched in an carbon fiber textured vinyl across the back heel, mid panels, straps, Swoosh and tongues. Most obvious feature of the USMC look was achieved with an authentic digi-camo canvas on the toes and used more subtle on the back heel tabs and liner. Details for the full Marine look were added with USMC embroidered on the tongues and an all black Eagle, Globe and Anchor emblem in place of the usual Nike Air and Swoosh on the heel tabs. Surely any Marine or proud American would love to wear these.
As of now these are a 1 of 1 but you can contact Demetrius to request your own pair via GroundBreakerCustoms.com or on https://www.facebook.com/GBC414 and follow him on http://instagram.com/dcm_gbc
