There is not much guess in what inspired this recent pair of Air Max custom sneakers by Dank Customs. What seems to be a Nike ID version of the AM1 has been painted and engraved to look like the Questlove Nike Air Force 1 Supreme from 2008. Four years ago Nike collaborated with the famous drummer of The Roots, Questlove allowing him to design his own AF1. The result was a design all its own.
The red material was mimicked in pretty much the same placement of the toes, tongues, and back heels. The unique feature of the Air Force 1 was its use of green on green elephant print which Jake of Dank Customs engraved and painted, even reversing the dark and light green as seen on the left and rights of the original Forces. Last touches of detail to match the originals were made in the shiny gold Swooshes and ?uestlove silhouette logo on the tongue tags. This pair is probably a 1 of 1 but if you want to recreate your own favorite Air Force 1 into an Air Max contact Dank Customs via jwdanklefs.com and follow him on Instagram: @jwdanklefs
