If you happened to catch the BET Awards last night or the hip-hop blogosphere this Monday good chances are you have been amused at the red carpet outfit of artist French Montana and his intense use of snakeskin. Pictured below French’s getup was snakeskin from head(s) to toe with the most shocking look being the full skin and heads of three snakes on his shoulders and hood (no confirmation of them being authentic or not). We shall see if NYCESociety was ahead of the game if this full snake infused style becomes a full trend.

Among the reconstruction/overlay categories it sure is year of the snake for sneaker customizing. South Korea based customizer Snap High created a premium version of probably the most recreated customization of 2013: the blacking out of the Air Jordan XI midsole. But along with what is trending Snap High went premium adding python skin for another variation on MJ’s eleventh model.

Air Jordan III White Python by @JBFcustoms for Wale

“You can’t get these.” That is the only statement anyone to ever obsessively wear a pair of sneakers wants to tell EVERYONE. But these days most anyone that wants a sneaker release will get it as they are nearly all 99% attainable. So how do you out do the next man….and next and next? Get vintage or customized. Odds are vintage aren’t gonna be wearable so you gotta get a retro release made unlike something on a store shelve. One known to do that and one known to provide for that are Wale and JBF Customs.

@NYCSociety X @NoldoCustoms Air Jordan XI low Snakeskin Blackout

Last month Noldo Customs set Instagram a fire with a simple addition of black to the white midsole of the Air Jordan XI bred retro. Orders surely came rushing in with many others inspired to give the look a shot on their own pairs. This time a customer request allowed Noldo to team up with NYCE Society on a similar design on the XI low. The previously all white with red sole XI low release from last summer was given a snakeskin stitched overlay upon the white patent leather by NYCE Society. The black and red skin was complimented by Noldo painting the white upper, tongues, and midsoles a la the blacked out bred XI.
