Nike Lebron 9 “What the Lebron” by @TwizzCustoms

The look of many shoe designs upon one shoe is either a love or hate thing. It was a concept started by Nike SB with their “What the Dunk” that due to limited numbers became a popular shoe. Do you think you could pull off a look like this? Twizz Customs recreated a plethora of Lebron 9 colorways onto that same 9 with apparently not a single spot on the shoe missing a change of color.

Color Swap Saturday: Nike Lebron 9 Low “China” Custom by KURTZASTAN

One color swap idea too many leads to another? Sneaker customizer by the name of Kurtzastan intended to make a ever so popular South Beach themed custom sneaker on this previously “Easter” colorway Nike Lebron 9 but had seen enough. Instead he decided to recreate a lesser seen colorway of the Lebron 9 high’s official release, the blue and orange “China” version. The entire upper was changed from a turqouise to crystal blue with details of an orange Swoosh and the Year of the Dragon graphics recreated on the tongue tags.

The Nike Lebron 8 South Beach is officially 2 years old this month. A way to measure the impact that colorway had on the custom sneaker game does not exist but it surely became the elephant print of 2011 to early 2012 with many a customizers taking the colorway to other shoes. A big impact of that is because customers loved the colorway themselves.
