The all white Foamposite is starting to make the rounds in the custom sneaker world. Taking inspiration from a few places SmoothTip goes New York Knicks and Sole Collector on these Foams. NY blue was added to the lace panels, tongue, ankle, and sockliners with hints of orange on the embroidered Swooshes and tongue pull tab. If you were asked what is a great base shoe to showcase a detailed painted graphic the Nike Foamposite for their uneven panels would probably be the last choice. So perhaps that makes these an even better accomplishment? Modern futuristic looking sneaker meets arguably ahead of his time musician Jimi Hendrix in this custom Foamposite titled “Purple Haze” by SmoothTip. Instead of going with one of the already purple heavy Foam base shoes like the Eggplants or Electro Purple joints SmoothTip brought the purple along to the Stealth black model.

Nike’s release of the Galaxy Nike Foamposite earlier this year did more than rile up sneakerheads, it gave shoe customizers the green light to use the Nike Foamposite as a base for more than solid colors. While the galaxy has been mimicked by many and successfully recreated by few TRAGIKkicks decided to spin the idea in another whole direction. Less outerspace and more Earth’s atmosphere with a rainbow influenced galaxy theme. At least seven colors were blended upon the Foamposite upper with specks of white intermittent against all black accents of the tongue, liner and soles.
