Too bad Lebron James did not end up on the New Jersey (or soon to be Brooklyn) Nets in last summers free agency fiasco because Nets colors go well on his kicks. Case in point these “NYC” Nike Lebron 8s by shoe customizer Conor Burns aka C4 based off a photoshopped design by a cat named Mayhem. After the photos released of the “Veteran’s Day/USA” Lebron 8 Mayhem’s mind started brewing the NYC design and he reached out to C4 to make it a 1 of 1 custom reality. As you can see in the photo below the leather panels used to be bright white but were painted a deep navy on the toes, middle and back panels to go along with the navy metallic Nike Flywire panels. A light gray paint was used on the lace panels and Swooshes. If you look close C4 gave the embossed lion on the tongues some life with yellow eyes and navy facial features. As for NYC? Take an even closer look and you can see the graffiti-esq midsoles painted with the names of New York City’s 5 Boroughs. These should make Lebron regret going to Miami. Maybe not.
