SBTG x Kobe Bryant x Duke Basketball Update

Actual pics of the shoes have finally surfaced. Nothing groundbreaking simple classic SBTG imagery thrown in with a imaginary Kobe Bryant Duke basketball theme. Sort of black and blue Jordan 1’esq? The wooden box with the glass cover and laser engraving takes them up many notches though.

AKALAZY Nike Air Force 1 Jailbreaker (Series IV) for DJ Clark Kent

Stained, ripped, faded denim and all. Lazy recreated his Jailbreaker Dunks onto an Nike Air Force 1 too near perfection. Only thing I would change is the recreating of the Nike heel tab with yellow embroidery instead of black and they’d be perfect.  The customer was someone with many pairs of Air Force 1s. Who, for some reason gets credit for having so many, like ok would not most sneaker fans have a bunch of Air Forces if they had the same amount of money to waste on shoes too? I’m sure he gets free ones from Nike too while the consumer gets nothing and a chance to pair 3 times retail for their own colorway. Basic capitalism.

Anywho these are definitely one of the better parts of that dudes collection now.

SBTG x Kobe Bryant x Nike Dunk Varsity Bones

SBTG’s work has been paying off lately. In his words:

I had the privilege of meeting NBA superstar Kobe Bryant in person last Wednesday. Nike invited me to do a shoe for him to commemorate the Singapore leg of his 2009 Asian Tour. Meeting up with him at the Nike Wisma store was definitely an overwhelming experience for me and everyone else who came out to see him. What an honor to have met a true NBA champion up close and personal.

Swaves: Canadian Tap Dance Shoes

Oh Canada!…I’ve never been but would love to visit a bunch of places in that part of North America. Incredibly steady handed customizer Swaves recently finished these Miller and Ben brand tap shoes for a fellow tap dancer. Honestly I have never seen a dancer wear anything but a black or white shoe. Imagine seeing these red and white numbers witht the maple leaf flailing all over the floor in a rapid blur. This pair is a great solid design. First ever custom tap shoes?….Honestly I’m sure that solid colors have been done over the years but they probably can not compare to these.

Mizzee Customs: Skittles Blazer Hi

Debuted at this past weekends International Sneaker Battle at which Miss Saigon won Best Customs, Mizzee Customs had a table with these beautiful Skittles Blazer Hi. Made for a customer Mizzee again showcased his affinity for the airbrush with an impeccable six color fade cheetah print. The print was accented by choosing a purple soled Blazer and adding a glossy black on matte black ghost cheetah print on the toes and fat swooshes. It is pretty hard to mess this design up but that is only if you can get such a great fade and very few customizers can mimic the Miz on this one. Oh and remember those Busy P Nike Air Force 1’s? I think they’d look better as an Air Max 90………..don’t ya think?  I wonder what DJ Klark Kent thinks? Mizzee let the audience know what the man thought!
