It is safe to say the Air Jordan I silhouette is at the top of the charts when it comes to listing the most customized sneakers. It helps that Jordan Brand has fed the market a steady amount of retro releases the last three or four years. As the first Jordan model increased in popularity overall that of course leads to more pairs getting customized. Some may look at this pair just like they look at a painted canvas in a museum and say “What’s so special I could do that. Hell, my three-year-old kid could do that.” But neither of you did it. Hussbunny did.
Starting with the all sail white retro, Hussbunny took to the upper with a vision of the OG Air Jordan I Chicago in his mind. As it’s pretty obvious, the panels were taken to with red and black paint without a precise attention to their panel lines but more of an obtuse setting. The OG color blocking was mimicked for an abstract look, that has been made in similar iterations of the Air Jordan I actually painted on a canvas. While he didn’t paint within the lines he still stayed within the lines.
We aren’t the only ones to think this is a dope look as only a week old they’ve inspired at least one other sneaker customizer to give his take on this look of the AJ1. More artistic endeavors by this artist and inquiries about a commissioning a pair can be made at Instagram.com/Hussbunny
