Purple Gold Nike VaporMax

After its nearly 40 years of existence, Nike is still innovating their Air cushioning technology. Having numerous renditions since the first Nike Air Tailwind in 1978, the newest is once again the most eye-catching. Titled the Nike Air VaporMax, this 2017 release comes in with a multi-chamber air bubble system for the most unique look Air Max has seen in a long time. Combined with the Flyknit material upper you have two of the moment techs in one pair of sneakers. Here is a look at one of the first Nike Air VaporMax Customs.

The first release was a subtle gray on crystal clear VaporMax cushioning. Taking cues from his university, Seantehdon flipped the basic colorway with highlights of purple and gold. Starting with the gold, a take on the classic elephant print was created around the heel and Swooshes which received the purple touch. But the biggest change was that in the clear sole cushioning dyed a royal purple. The result is a very University of Washington colorway, fitting as Sean possibly turned heads wearing these as a football player for those UW Huskies.

As the Nike Air VaporMax grows old will we see more customs or is it just a pair that won’t get as much custom love?
