Air Jordan XI Gamma Blue Laser Glow by KicksFlipped Customs
With the abundance of Air Jordan XI’s on the market they have of course popped up on the feeds of many a customizers. Common colorways seems to be the go to for most…XI low into the mid’s colorways or bright vibrant colors once only seen on the fake sneaker websites to some attempts to add graphics to the upper. This pair just jumps right to the top of the leader board though.
Alberto of Kicksflipped Customs found inspiration in the Air Jordan laser pattern first seen on the 20th edition of the Jordan line. The laser pattern was designed by Mark Smith and placed upon the Jordan XX forefoot strap to compliment Tinker Hatfields design of the model. The pattern is made up of graphics with unique meaning to significant parts of Jordans career and has since been seen on everything from apparel to Jordan Motorsports bikes. Now it lives on this custom XI.
Starting with the black midsoles of the recent Air Jordan XI gamma blue release, Alberto put down an base coat of off white with a little secret. Next in what appears to be done in a painstakingly effort the XX Air Jordan laser pattern was completely hand painted upon the midsoles. Different elements of the pattern were all re-mixed together in a perfect placement on the narrow midsoles. Finally a quick 5 to 10 minute charge in direct light and the off white glows a nice gamma blue in the dark.
