Air Jordan I New Year’s Eve 2013 by JBF Customs

The Air Jordan I started the Michael Jordan sneaker legacy in a unique way being banned by the NBA. That same season Nike released multiple colorways of the AJ 1, with one combination in particular being as rare as they come. Legends tell of them being a friends and family kinda production. Well fast forward 28 years and those same two colors are once again making noise also along the lines of family.

Finishing off 2013, Jake of JBF Customs put a true stamp on his year of python customizations with this black and metallic gold one off. The customer just happened to be Marcus Jordan, son of Michael and the pair a 2013 New Year’s Eve accessory. What was once a base Air Jordan 1 black/gold retro from 2013 is now covered in the Incomparable JBF treatment with the often seen authentic black python accented for the first time by a very shiny metallic gold on the toebox, Swooshes, and rearĀ  panels.

Where do you think Jake will take the JBF brand in 2014? Will we see more python or will it be given a break? Let us know your thoughts and as always you can contact JBF for your own customization at www.JBFcustoms.com
