The iconic Nike Dunk SB NYC Pigeon designed by Jeff Staple is one of the sneaker worlds infamous pieces of history. What resells for thousands of dollars of course has inspired numerous customs. The latest is actually a part of a special giveaway spearheaded by Jeff Staple himself 8 years after the original Pigeon Dunks have released.
Customizer Zhijun Wang created a Pigeon concept upon the Nike Air Max Lebron X. The design is undoubtedly a use of NikeID’s color choices with a pewter gray upper, light gray midsoles, and pigeon orange soles and sockliners. Custom additions include the iconic Staple Pigeon on the flywire panels and Zhijun’s logo on the medial sides which we assume is a digitally printed material. 10 pairs of this concept were given away via Instagram here: Staple X ZhiJunWang giveaway. Rules stated the Lebron XI will be the model of choice which makes sense due to the Lebron X no longer being on NikeID. So check back with PaintOrThread to see if a Lebron XI is made in this Staple theme.
