Johnny Earl, owner of pop culture t-shirt brand Johnny Cupcakes, has been traveling across the country the last month promoting his brand on his “Johnny Cupcakes Suitcase Tour: Back to Basics 2010”. On the tour Earl has been going back to his roots of which he started his now multi-million dollar clothing brand, by selling limited edition versions of his latest t-shirts out of suitcases at different little boutiques, bakeries, and more. He is also giving many of his brands followers the chance to hang out, interact, ask questions, or simply just meet the highly recognized entrepreneur behind Johnny Cupcakes. Along the tour stops many people have given Earl different types of Johnny Cupcakes’ “fan art” posters, cakes, and for the first time so far a pair of Nike Air Prestige II customized in a Johnny Cupcakes theme. Ashley Postiff an obvious fan of Johnny Cupcakes painted the Nikes in a black and white colorway matching the Johnny Cupcakes website, covering the toes with the cupcake and cross bones logo, back heels with Johnny Cupcakes name graphic and the fork and cupcake logo. The box even has a few special tips on how or why to wear the custom shoes.
